El-Pågarna one of the pioneers at Instalco
El-Pågarna in Malmö is an electrical installation company that has been active since the end of the 1980s. In 2015, they joined Instalco as one of the first companies to do so.
“So we were a little bit like pioneers and we had no idea that Instalco would grow as big as it has. Things turned out significantly better than we would have thought back then,” says
Mikael Parnelöv, CEO of El-Pågarna and one of the previous owners. At that point, Mikael had been running El-Pågarna together with his colleague Bo Mårtensson for 25 years, and they were beginning to think about how they should proceed with their company in order to continue developing it.
“We had previously worked together with AB Rörläggaren and when they became part of Instalco we also started getting curious. When I heard about the model I quickly got interested, partly because I saw opportunities for synergies with other companies and partly because we would be able to keep our name, our policies and our culture and be able to continue working in the same spirit.”
El-Pågarna became part of Instalco eight years ago. Mikael Parnelöv is still CEO and Bo Mårtensson is working as a project manager. Everything has continued in the same spirit as before.
“During this time, we have developed our company really well and have been able to take on much larger projects than would have been possible without Instalco. The nice thing is that we've been able to pick the cherries off the top of the cake, without being pushed into a box that doesn’t fit us,” says Mikael.
