Instalco 2.0
Instalco 2.0 is the Group’s long-term development initiative aimed at strengthening competitiveness, profitability and execution capacity in a more complex and changing market. The initiative was launched in the autumn of 2025 and represents a further development of Instalco’s decentralised model, in which local leadership, strong ownership and decision-making close to the customer remain the foundation of the business.
The point of departure is to preserve what has historically been successful: local entrepreneurship, customer-focused operations and fast decision-making, while at the same time enabling the Group to make greater use of shared experience and common tools.
At the same time, Instalco 2.0 involves a further development of how the Group operates, with clearer common frameworks, more structured ways of working and strengthened support for the subsidiaries. The ambition is to combine continued entrepreneurship with clearer expectations, increased accountability and improved shared tools.
Instalco 2.0 includes a comprehensive review of the operating model, focusing on four overarching areas: development of the company portfolio, strengthening and developing subsidiaries to reach their full potential, a clearer organisation and support structure, and more robust financial governance. Together, these elements are intended to contribute to increased stability, stronger execution capability and a more predictable business over time.
The Baseline as a common point of departure
A central element is the so-called baseline, which defines a common minimum standard for how operations are conducted across the Group. The baseline covers shared processes and ways of working within areas such as project management, costing and risk assessment, profitability follow-up and leadership.
The purpose of the baseline is to create stability and more consistent quality in execution, reduce vulnerability and increase transparency in the business. It does not replace the subsidiaries’ commercial responsibility or local decision-making, but serves as support for a more consistent and efficient way of working in day-to-day operations.
Strengthened support and clearer structure
In addition, Instalco 2.0 includes clearer approaches to follow-up and analysis, more structured support from Group level, and a shared view on development and improvement work within the subsidiaries. The focus is on identifying deviations at an earlier stage, prioritising the right measures and creating better conditions for long-term development.
An initial step in this direction was the introduction of a country-based organisational structure in September 2025.
Focus on long-term development
Instalco 2.0 is not a time-limited programme but an ongoing way of working for how the Group develops over time. The initiative aims to create a more resilient business with improved ability to manage both economic cycles and increasing demands from customers, employees and the surrounding environment.
By combining continued decentralised responsibility with clearer common structures, Instalco strengthens its ability to develop over the long term and operate in a more consistent and efficient manner.
