Continued momentum in Germany: Fabri expands with three new companies
Fabri Group, Instalco’s platform in the German installation market, is continuing its strong growth journey. Three new companies have recently joined the group, bringing the total to 17. Together, the new acquisitions contribute over EUR 14 million in net sales and further strengthen Fabri’s geographical presence and technical capabilities.
Among them is Franz Both GmbH, a well-established company in Rhineland-Palatinate with a strong reputation in modern building technology and renewable energy solutions. In Hesse, Henrich Elektroanlagen GmbH & Co. KG brings more than 30 years of experience in electrical systems, KNX, refrigeration and solar power. The third acquisition is a plumbing and heating company in north-western Germany with around 25 employees.
All three companies continue to operate under their existing management, fully aligned with Fabri’s decentralized approach and focus on local entrepreneurship.
A highly fragmented market
The German installation market is among the largest in Europe and is estimated to be five times as large as Instalco’s previous markets – Sweden, Norway and Finland – combined.
Like the Nordic market, the German market is fragmented with a large number of small and mid-sized companies competing on a local level. The southern and western regions of Germany have the highest demand for new construction because of the high urbanisation and capital investments being made within those regions. The forces, culture and trends driving this market are largely the same as in the Nordics, with an ageing real estate stock, a high demand for renovation and energy-efficient installation solutions, and fossil-free alternatives.
Two key factors to achieve success in the German market are being German-speaking and an established actor. Through Fabri, Instalco has found both.
