Instalco wins installation contract for Region Västmanland’s new emergency hospital in Västerås

This is a joint assignment involving the Instalco subsidiaries Instair and Sprinkerbolaget, which will be responsible for installation of the ventilation and sprinkler systems in conjunction with construction of the new emergency hospital in Västerås. The order value for Instalco is approximately SEK 240 million.

The two companies, along with Intec have been involved in the project already for some time, during the planning and design phase of the new hospital. The assignment has now been renewed, with Instalco responsible for installation of the ventilation, sprinkler and gas leak detection systems. It is a partnering project together with NCC and Region Västmanland.

“We have completed a successful project design and planning project for the new hospital in Västerås and are both proud and delighted to have now been engaged for the installation phase. This is a large, complex project. We have extensive experience and a track record of success with projects in the healthcare sector and partnering projects,” says Johan Larsson, Head of Division for Instalco.

In total, Region Västmanland's new emergency hospital will be 75,000 square metres, offering such things as surgery, radiology & imaging, emergency care, delivery ward, intensive care, inpatient and outpatient care. Instalco will be initiating the installation work immediately and it is expected to be completed in 2028.
