Sustainable Instalco Projects – Part of Our Sustainability Efforts
Instalco carries out sustainability initiatives across a wide range of areas, primarily by offering design, planning, and installation services in electrical systems, plumbing and heating, and ventilation that reduce energy consumption and deliver a lower climate footprint. As part of this work, Instalco operates the Sustainable Instalco Project certification scheme.
In 2025, 489 projects were certified as Sustainable Instalco Projects.
A key purpose of the certification is to provide customers with assurance that Instalco has taken material sustainability considerations into account throughout all phases of project delivery.
The criteria for certification include requirements relating to occupational health and safety, transport and logistics, climate benefits, recycling and waste segregation, service delivery through sustainability agreements, and the expectation that suppliers sign Instalco's Supplier Code of Conduct. This Code covers, among other things, fundamental values such as equal treatment and non-discrimination.
Sustainable Installations
Instalco also runs the Group-wide sustainability programme Sustainable Installations, which focuses on three ESG areas: Sustainable installations (E), a safe and enabling working environment (S), and mature leadership (G). Within these areas, approximately ten sustainability KPIs are measured and monitored annually.
A central focus of Instalco's sustainability work is the transition to more comprehensive sustainability reporting in accordance with the EU's Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS). The work includes the measurement and reporting of greenhouse gas emissions and climate impact across Scopes 1, 2, and 3 in accordance with the GHG Protocol. These figures are reported annually in Instalco's Annual and Sustainability Report.
Instalco's climate targets:
Net-zero emissions across the entire value chain by no later than 2045, and a 50 percent reduction in greenhouse gas emissions intensity in Scopes 1 and 2 by 2030, using 2020 as the base year. Instalco's climate goals are based on the construction industry's roadmap and are aligned with the Paris Agreement's objective of limiting global warming to 1.5 °C.
