Business area Techical consulting continues its journey of growth
Instalco’s subsidiary for technical consulting, Intec, continues to grow both organically and through acquisitions. Intec now has signed agreements with around 200 technical consultants and is represented at 16 locations in Sweden. Intec is now acquiring the project management company, PlanProj AB in Norrköping, thereby adding additional project and construction management talent along with expertise in installation coordination to the company.
PlanProj has 14 employees and annual sales of approximately SEK 17 million. The company was founded in 2011 and has its niche in construction and project management, with extensive experience in project management and coordination of both construction work and installations.
“With the acquisition of PlanProj, our own organization grows in the areas of sustainable construction, project management and installation coordination. It also increases our representation in Sweden, particularly in Östergötland and Sörmland. PlanProj has extremely competent employees, good profitability and the type of energy, enthusiasm and entrepreneurial spirit that makes it a good fit with Intec and Instalco,” says Anders Lundin, CEO at Intec.
PlanProj has expertise in the following technical disciplines: construction, electrical, alarms, lifts, heating & plumbing, sprinklers and ventilation. It also works with energy efficiency, project design, feasibility studies, scheduling, budgeting/cost estimates, control technology and automatics.
“Together with Intec and Instalco, we can continue our growth journey and gain new opportunities for expanding and refining our business,” says Kim Bergehed, CEO at PlanProj.
Instalco established the new business area and technical consulting discipline in December of 2020, with Intec Nordic AB and its subsidiaries at the core of it all. Since then, Intec has grown both organically and through acquisitions. Now, with the acquisition of PlanProj, it has more than 200 employees and is established at 16 locations throughout Sweden. Intec’s first acquisitions were Iproj and Nässjö Teknikprojektering, now adding PlanProj to that list.
Intec Nordic AB will acquire 100 percent of the shares in PlanProj AB as of 11 June 2021. PlanProj will continue doing business under its current name and brand, as a subsidiary and part of Intec.
