Instalco subsidiary signs agreement for new school project in Norway
The Instalco company, Romerike Elektro AS has entered into an agreement for services associated with construction of another new school in Oslo. The new school project is situated north of Oslo, where Romerike will be responsible for the electrical installations, for an order of NOK 46 million. The work will be done on behalf of Skanska Norge AS and Gjerdum Municipality.
Alongside the construction of the school, the project scope of Oppvekstjordet at Gjerdum, north of Oslo, includes a new preschool, football pitches and a multi-sport arena.
“We are proud to be part of this important project for the local community of Gjerdum Municipality, where there is a significant need for this new school premises. We bring extensive experience from similar school projects, enabling us to deliver an attractive solution. All of us at Romerike Elektro are looking forward to our collaboration with Skanska and Gjerdum Municipality in this project,” says Kenneth Hansen, CEO at Romerike Elektro.
Oppverkstjordet is currently Gjerdum Municipality’s largest and most important development project, aimed at providing a future-proof and modern learning environment for children and youth. It is a logistically complex project for Romerike Elektro, as it will be carried out in several phases, with both permanent and temporary educational activities continuing alongside the new construction.
The project will be submitted for BREEAM-NOR sustainability certification at the level of Very Good, along with certifying it as a Sustainable Instalco Project. The installations will get underway during fall 2026 and are scheduled for completion during 2028.
