Instalco wins assignment at the new Oslo Airport City

Two Instalco companies are collaborating on the development of a new trading area called Oslo Airport City at Gardermoen Airport in Oslo. Teknisk Ventilasjon will deliver the ventilation solution at a logistics centre that will be built and Andersen og Aksnes will deliver the heating & plumbing installations at a new warehouse for special logistics. The combined order value is approximately NOK 42 million.

Oslo Airport City is developing and building a new airport city that will offer a total of approximately one million square metres of commercial space.

Andersen og Aksnes has been engaged by Vedal for the pipe installations for heating & plumbing, cooling and sprinklers at a 15,000 sq. m. warehouse for special logistics. The contractor is Oslo Airport City.

“This is our second project at Oslo Airport City after having finished the work at the Porsche Center for the same contractor. We are happy to have won their confidence again after an initial successful collaboration with the customer. The work involved for this assignment requires extra high security and special solutions,” says Joar Vellene, CEO at Andersen og Aksnes.

Teknisk Ventilasjon has an important role in the construction of World Seafood Center, which will be the world’s largest logistics center for seafood, the size of which, once completed, will be 55,000 sq. m. Teknisk Ventilasjon will be delivering the air treatment system including automation solutions for the terminal.

Both of the assignments got underway during fall 2022 and are scheduled for completion during 2023. The aim is for both of the projects to be classified as Sustainable Instalco Projects.
