Instalco wins assignment with Stockholm Exergi
The Instalco companies, EKTK and App Start-Up have signed agreements with Stockholm Exergi for work that will be done at the Högdalenverket power station in Stockholm. It involves both electrical and control systems, with a total order value of approximately SEK 30 million.
“We have been successfully collaborating with Stockholm Energi for quite some time. We're very happy to be involved and helping to make Högdalenverket safer and more sustaiable with these installations, which will also increase the operational availability, says Pasi Johansen, CEO at EKTK.
Högdalenverket is one of the Stockholm Energi CHP plants that produces electricity and heat for Stockholm's district heating network. One of its functions is to extract energy from non-recyclable waste.
EKTK will be replacing five of the existing switching devices with new ones. They are responsible for removing and dismantling the existing switchgear, along with delivery, installation, commissioning and adaptation of the new equipment. App Start-Up is responsible for adaptation and integration of the control systems for the new switchgear.
“It is a comprehensive project that will be completed in a relatively short period of time once we are on site and get start working with the installations. With that in mind, we are already putting a lot of focus on the preparations and detailed planning. We have a great deal of experience with this type of work and together with our fellow subsidiary, App Start-Up, we are confident about delivering quality and knowledge in an effective way,” says Pasi Johansen.
The project is already underway and most of the work will be performed in 2024. The goal is to certify the project as a Sustainable Instalco Project.
