Instalco wins installation contract with HENT in Norway

Instalco’s Norwegian subsidiary, AS Elektrisk, has been engaged for electrical installation work associated with construction of a new retirement home in Hurum, near the city of Drammen in Norway. The client is the Norwegian construction firm, HENT, and the order value for AS Elektrisk is approximately SEK 40 million.

The new retirement home (approximately 11,000 sq. m.) will be built in Hurum, which is near Drammen, Norway. The new retirement home will be able to accommodate 110 residents, providing them with care, physical fitness, rehabilitation, daytime activities and a variety of other services/activities.

AS Elektrisk has been contracted for electrical and telecommunications installations.

“This will be a comprehensive project and an important addition to the community, so we’re very happy and proud to be involved. It's a major milestone for Hurum municipality,” says Trond Brustad, CEO of AS Elektrisk.

Hurum municipality has set high goals in terms of both energy consumption and the environment, with the intention of obtaining BREEAM sustainability certification at the level “Excellent”. It will also be a plus-energy building, in accordance with the FutureBuilt standard, which means that the building will produce more energy than it consumes. Solutions that will be installed to achieve this include solar cells, solar panels and energy wells.

AS Elektrisk will begin the installation work associated with the “Hurum helsehus” project during 2019 and the work is expected to be completed by summer 2021.
