LG Contracting wins heating and plumbing assignment in Gothenburg

Instalco’s subsidiary LG Contracting has been awarded the assignment to jointly carry out heating and plumbing installations in the Platinan block in the Central Station area in Gothenburg. The block is part of RiverCity, the largest urban development project in the Nordic region. The customer is Peab and the order value amounts to approx. SEK 75 million.

Vasakronan is the building proprietor of the block, which is being constructed close to the new Hisingen bridge, making it an important part in connecting Gothenburg’s two river shores. Platinan comprises a gross floor area of approximately 60,000 square meters with hotels, offices and meeting places.

The project is characterised by sustainable thinking; the building will be certified with the highest level Platinum according to LEED, one of the most extensive green-building rating systems in the world. The project is expected to be completed by year-end of 2021.
