New agreement for design and installation services in Stavanger

The Instalco subsidiary, Urd Klima Sandnes has signed an agreement to the install ventilation systems as part of the construction of a new office building in Stavanger, Norway. Instalco’s technical consulting company, Intec, will also be participating in the project, with responsibility for design of the heating & plumbing and ventilation systems.

The total order value for Instalco is approximately NOK 40 million.

The new building, Trivium, is being constructed in the area of central Stavanger called Paradis and it will serve as the head office for the oil company Vår Energi. Once completed, the office building will comprise 35,000 sq. m of floor space and accommodate 1,500 workplaces. Urd Klima Sandnes has been contracted to install a fully integrated air treatment system incorporating heating and cooling via the ventilation air, with Intec responsible for the system design.

Urd Klima Sandnes will undertake the project for its customer, Total Betong AS, with installation work due to commence in the second half of 2027, with completion by the end of 2028.

“This is a state-of-the-art project with stringent requirements for indoor climate, energy efficiency, flexibility and documentation. The ventilation system will play a key role in heating and cooling the building. It involves large volumes of air across multiple zones, all of which must deliver energy-efficient performance under varying loads.” says Vidar Mong, CEO of Urd Klima Sandnes.

The building will be submitted for certification to BREEAM-NOR Excellent and WELL Core Gold standards, designed to achieve energy class A.
