Instalco grows in Umeå

Instalco is expanding its offering in Västerbotten and the area around Umeå via the acquisition of Elektro Västerbotten AB. Its expertise in electrical installations complements Instalco's other subsidiaries, Rikelektro and Norrtech in the area.

Elektro Västerbotten has 23 employees and annual sales of approximately SEK 50 million.

“We’ve been interested in acquiring a traditional electrical company with the right qualities and expertise in Umeå for quite some time and are delighted to have now found the right candidate. Elektro Västerbotten has high profitability and a dedicated, mature management team. It is a nice match with the Instalco model, and the acquisition brings us one important step closer to becoming multidisciplinary for installations in Umeå,” says Johan Larsson, Head of Division for Instalco North.

Elektro Västerbotten offers electrical installations to both commercial and private customers and it does both contract work and service. Examples of its largest customers are Peab, Skanska and Selbergs Entreprenad.

“We’re looking forward to becoming a part of Instalco and helping the Group become multidisciplinary in the Umeå area. We see excellent opportunities for collaboration with the other Instalco companies,” says Göran Wikman, CEO of Elektro Västerbotten.

Instalco has acquired 100 percent of the shares in Elektro Västerbotten AB as of 16 May 2023.
